Inflation : The rate of inflation has progressively decreased from 9.2% in 2003, 7.3% in 2004, 7% in 2005 and is now at 7.2% in the first half of 2006 and projected to decrease to 5 in 2007 and 3 – 3.5% in 2010.

Exchange Rate : The Dinar is constantly appreciating and is present rate to the US $ is 1:215 SD.

The Currancy : The present currency is the Sudanese Dinar in different paper and coin denominations. Arrangements are being made to switch back to the Sudanese Pound with a value of 1:100 SD.

GNP : GNP is constantly increasing at a rate of approximately 6 – 7% per annum.

Domestic Income has more than tripled in the last 3 years from 200 per head per year to 700 /head/year.
